9-cell, 93-WH battery for use with all computer models
6-cell, 55-WH battery for use only with HP Compaq 6545b and 6445b computer models
For use only with HP Compaq 6540b and 6440b computer models:
■ 6-cell, 55-WH battery
■ 6-cell, 47-WH battery
Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the front toward you.
2. Slide the battery release latch 1 to release the battery.
3. Remove the battery 2.
Insert the battery into the battery bay until it is seated. The battery release latch automatically locks the battery
into place.
