4. The neutral indicator light fails to come on.
1. Neutral indicator light LED
• Check the LED of the neutral indicator
light.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS AND
BULB SOCKETS".
• Is the neutral indicator light LED OK?
YES
2. Neutral switch
• Check the neutral switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
• Is the neutral switch OK?
YES
NO
Replace the meter
assembly.
NO
Replace the neutral
switch.

3. Relay unit (diode)
• Disconnect the relay unit from the wire
harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the
relay unit terminals as shown.
• Check the diode for continuity.
Positive tester probe →
Negative tester probe →

NOTE:

When you switch the positive and negative
tester probes, the readings in the above chart
will be reversed.
• Are the tester readings correct?
