Advanced Surround setting

This function allows you to enjoy a "surround sound" effect when you
are using an analog connection (using LINE 1 OUT on this Unit) to 2-
channel audio equipment (TV, etc.).
Preparation
To use the Advanced Surround function
• Set the "COMPRESSION" setting in "AUDIO" to "OFF" (see page
45).
Refer to the table below about the types of audio format with which
Advanced Surround works.

Press FUNCTION CONTROL during playback.
• The Function control screen appears.

Use ' or " to select

Press ' or " to toggle Advanced Surround between "ON" and
"OFF".

While "ON" is selected, use \ or | to change the level setting.

Press ENTER to confirm the setting.
• You can exit the Function control screen by pressing
RETURN or FUNCTION CONTROL.

• Advanced Surround does not operate
when you set the "COMPRESSION"
setting in "AUDIO SETUP" to "ON".
• Advanced Surround does not operate
when you are using a Digital
connection.
• Advanced Surround does not operate
when you play back a disc recorded
using Linear PCM or DTS format.
