Changing the ringer

A range of options are available:
Six volume levels:
◆
– Five volume levels (1–5; e.g. volume level 2 = ˆ),
– "Crescendo" call (6; the volume increases with each ring = ‰).
Max. 26 melodies:
◆
– Max. 16 polyphone melodies (polyphone melodies have to have been saved with
the Sound Manager, page 80)
– Ten melodies (1–10; melodieS1 colour–3 are the "classical ringer tones").
Settings for external calls, time control and name announcement
You can set the volume and melody to suit what is being signalled. You can also set the
time control for the volume of a call (e.g. quieter during the night).

Setting the melody and volume:
Confirm. You hear the current volume.
OK
Select the volume in the entry field.
Scroll to the next line and select the melody. You will
hear the current melody and the name of the poly-
phone melody or number is displayed at the end of
the line.
Activating name announcement:
Scroll to the next line if necessary and activate/deac-
tivate name announcement (page 27).
The name will only be announced if the caller's
number has been identified.
Activating time control:
Press the display key.
