side the charger, the standby
time for the handset is considera-
bly reduced!

Auto answer

When this function is activated, you
can simply lift the handset out of the
charger when you receive a call
without having to press the talk key
c.

Changing the speaker/
earpiece volume
You can set the volume for speaker
mode and earpiece mode to five dif-
ferent levels.
In idle status:

Set the volume 1–5.

Press the display key to
save the setting.
Setting the handset
During a call via the earpiece or in
speaker mode:
t
Press the control key to
open the menu for setting
the volume. Set the ear-
piece or speaker volume
1–5 by pressing q.
The setting 1–5 will be saved
automatically after approximately
3 seconds or alternatively press the
§OK§
.

You can also set the call volume
via the menu (¢ page 25).
Extra loud setting
During a call, the earpiece volume
can also be set to Extra Loud

Do not hold the handset close to
the ear when doing so.
If Extra Loud is set, Extra Loud! is
shown on the display.
After pressing the display key
or
at the end of the call, the volume will
automatically drop to the previously
set level.
Warning
u This setting can cause damage
to the hearing of people with
good hearing and is only
intended for people with a
hearing impairment.
u It may amplify interference
noise in the phone line.
