4 Using your card
reader/writer
Learn how to operate your card reader/
writer for everyday use.
4.1 Inserting a card
Caution
• MicroDrive cards consume large
amounts of power. Before you insert
a MicroDrive card, disconnect all other
devices connected to the same USB
port.
Caution
• When you use xD cards, never delete
files or reformat the card. These actions
may damage the xD card. Please use
your camera for deletion, or to refor
mat the xD card.
To insert the card:
1. Identify the correct card slot for your
card. See chapter 2, "Product Highlights".
2. With the label facing up, insert the card
into the correct slot.

an adapter
