Using the short dial keys
You can use the short dial keys for telephone calls and for sending faxes.
1 - 9
Press the SHORT DIAL key. On the display appears:

Select using the keys 0 to 9. The corresponding name will appear

on the display. If you have not entered a name the telephone

number will appear on the display.

Lift the handset or press the DIAL key. The fax machine will start to

dial and the number is displayed. If you would like to send a fax press
the START key.
You can also first lift the handset or press the DIAL key and then press the SHORT DIAL key
followed by a key from 0 to 9. If you select a number using SHORT DIAL and pick up the handset
afterwards, you can also add an extension number.

Telephone book

You can use the telephone book to select the number you wish to call by selecting the name. The number is then
dialled automatically. All you have to do is to store the numbers with the corresponding names first.
The telephone book function on your fax machine has spaces for up to about 50 numbers with their corresponding names.
The exact figure depends on the length of each entry.
You have two possibilities to store entries in your telephone book:
1. by selecting function 16
2. using the TELEPHONE BOOK key.
