Answering Machine

Birdy has a built-in digital answering machine (without cassette) with a capac-
ity of maximum 14 minutes. It is remote controlled. Each message can last max-
imum 2 minutes.
8.1

Handsfree Operation

For all answering machine functions the unit is in Handsfree mode. The loud-
speaker of the handset is used for this purpose.
8.2

Answering Machine Operation Mode

To access the functions of the answering machine, proceed as follows:
1. The phone is in standby mode (no tone).
2. Press the program key
3. ANSWERING is displayed.
4. Press the program key
5. WAITING is displayed for 2 seconds, followed by ANS OPER.
6. Now you have access to all answering features (message recording, time
programming, security code, etc.).
