Connecting with a HDMI mini cable

Select the desired method of HDMI output.
: [SETUP] # [HDMI RESOLUTION] # [AUTO]/[1080p]/[1080i]/[576p]

≥ [AUTO] determines the output resolution automatically based on information from the
connected TV.
If the images are not output on the TV when the setting is [AUTO], switch to the method
[1080p], [1080i] or [576p] which enables the images to be displayed on your TV. (Please
read the operating instructions for the TV.)
≥ Image will not display on TV for a few seconds in the following cases.
j When the 1080/50p recording mode is turned on/off during Motion Picture Recording
Mode
j When you touch the play mode select icon to select [1080/50p] and then touch [ENTER]
during Playback Mode
j When the play mode selection is set to
between the 3D still picture and the 2D still picture
j When the 1080/50p, 1080/50i, or side-by-side scenes are switched.

Connecting with the AV multi cable

Select the desired setting of AV multi connector output.

[1080i]: When connecting to the component terminal on the TV compatible with
1080i. (Playback is in high definition quality.)
[576i]: When connecting to the component terminal on the TV compatible with 576i.
(Playback is in standard quality.)
≥ Set [VIDEO LIGHT] to [OFF] when recording with the TV connected to the component
terminal to confirm the recording. (l 53)
