Prepare Theinstallation Site
Your refrigeratoris designedto be part of a built-inkitchencabinetsystem. Be
sureto coordinatesite preparation and installationwithyourkitchen contractor.
include these minimumguidelinesin yoursite preparation:
• Choosea place neara groundedelectricaloutlet.
• Do not use an extensioncordor an adapter plug.
• Avoiddirect sunlightand closeproximityto a range,dishwasheror other
heatsource.
• Floor shouldbe leveland able to supporta fully loaded refrigerator.
• The refrigerator'sice & Water Dispenserrequireswater supplyaccess.
• Plan for easy accessto countertops whenremovingfood.
• Forcompleteaccessto drawersand freezerbaskets,doors must be able
to fully open.
Allow the following clearancesfor ease of installation,proper air circulation,and
plumbingand electricalconnections:
Sides& Top:3/8 inch
Rear 1 inch

By now, you have already removedyour refrigerator'sshipping carton.You may sill
needto use a handtruck to move itthrough closespacesor entrances,if the
refrigeratoris larger than an entrance,considertwo options:
• Removethe entrance doorif oneexists.
• Removethe refrigeratordoors(see how in your Use& Care Guide).
When usinga handtruck:
• Loadrefrigeratorfrom side of cabinetonly.
• Do not run retainingstraps over handles.
• Do not over-tightenretainingstraps.
• Neveruse refrigeratorhandlesto movethe refrigerator.
• Removetapefrom doorsonly after unit is in place.
3 ConnectWaterSupply
What you will need:
• Accessto a cold water line
with pressure of
30-100psi.

• Coppertubing with ¼-inch
(6.4ram)OD. Lengthfor
this tubing is the distance
from the rearof the refrigeratorto your household
water supply line plus 7 feet (2.1 meters).
• A shut-offvalvefor the connectionbetweenyourhousehold
water line andthe refrigeratorsupply line.
Do not use a self-piercingshut-offvalve.
• A compressionnut and ferrule(sleeve)for thewater supply
connectionat the rearof yourrefrigerator.
To connectthe water supplyto the rear of your refrigerator:
1 Ensurethat the refrigeratoris not pluggedin.
2 Flushthe supplyline until water is clear by placingthe end of the
coppertube in a sinkor bucketand openingthe shut-offvalve.
3 Removethe plasticcap from the water valveinlet at the rear d
your refrigerator.Discardthe cap.
4 Slidethe brass compressionnut, thenthe ferrule (sleeve)onto
coppertube.
5 Pushthe coppertube into water valveinlet as far as it will go
(1/4 inch).
6 Slidethe ferrule (sleeve)into valve andfinger-tightenthe
compressionnut ontovalve. Tightenanotherhalf turn with a
wrench. Donot over-tighten.
7 Securethe coppertube to your refrigerator'srearpanel with a
steel clamp andscrew (seeillustration).
8 Coilthe excesscoppertubing (about2V_ turns) behind your
refrigeratoras shown. Arrangecoiled tubing to avoid vibrationor
wear againstother surfaces.
g Openwater supply shut-offvalveand tighten any connections
that leak.
4 PlaceIn PermanentPosition

if possible,use a handtruck to positionthe refrigeratordirectly infront of
its cabinetenclosure.
Becareful not to move the refrigeratorbeyond its water supply (copper
tubing) connections.
Plug inthe powercord, and push the refrigeratorstraightback into
place.
5 Level Refrigerator& Adjust Doors (ifnecessary)
Guidelines f or final positioningof your refrigerator:
• Allfourcomers oftbe cabinet must rest firmly on tbefloor.
• The cabinet s houldbelevelatthetent andrear.
• The sidesshould tiltY_-inch ( 6 ram)frorn frontto back(to
............
ensurethatdoorscloseandsealproperly).
• Doors shouldalign witheachotherandbelevel.
All oftheseconditions can bemet by raisingor loweringthe adjustablefront rollers.
To level the cabinet using the front rollers:

Open both doors and remove the toe grille by gently pulling forward
(see illustration f).

Close the doors and use a flat-blade screwdriver or 3/8 inch socket
wrench to raise or lower the front rollers. (See illustration 2.)

Ensure both doors are bind-free with their seals touching the cabinet
on all four sides.
To level the doors using the lower hinge:
1
If the refrigerator door is lower than the freezer door, raise the
refrigerator door by turning the adjustment screw clockwise. (See
illustration 3.)

If the freezer door is lower than the refrigerator door, raise the
freezer door by turning the adjustment screw clockwise. (See
illustration 3.)

Ensure doorstopflangeistouching hingeflange.Ifnot,readjust asnecessary.

Replace thetoegdllebyfittingitinto place.
