Check for leaks. Leak testingof theappliance s hall b e
conducted a ccording t othe manufacturer's instructions.
Afterconnecting t hecooktop tothe gassupply, check
tile system for leaks with a manometer. I fa manometer
is notavailable, turn onthegassupply andusea liquid
leakdetector ( orsoapandwater)atalljointsand
connections to check for leaks.
Donot usea flameto check for leaks
fromgasconnections. Checking f or leaks withaflame
mayresult i n afire or explosion.
Tightena[[connectionsif necessary to prevent g as
leakage in thecooktop or supply line.
Check alignmentof valvesafterconnecting t he
cooktop tothe gassupply to besurethecooktop
manifold pipehasnotbeenmoved.
Disconnect t his cooktopandits individualshutoff
valvefromtile gassupply pipingsystem duringany
pressure t estingof thatsystem attestpressures greater
thanY2 psig(3.5kPa or 14" (35.6cm)watercolumn).
Isolatethe cooktopfrom the gassupplypiping
systembyclosing itsindividual manual shutoffvalve
duringanypressure t esting of tile gassupply piping
system attestpressures equal t o or less than
Y2psig
(3.5 kPa or 14" (35.6 cm) water column).

Requirements
120 volt, 60 Hertz, properly grounded branch circuit
protected by a 15 amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse.
Do not use an extension
cord with
this cooktop.

For personal
safety, this appliance
must be properly
grounded.
Tile power cord of this appliance is equipped with a 3-
prong (grounding) plug which mates with a standard 3-
prong grounding wall receptacle (see Figure 8) to
minimize the possibility of electric shock hazard from the
appliance.

Where a standard 2-prong wall receptacle is installed, it
is the personal responsibility and obligation of the
consumer to have it replaced by a properly grounded 3-
prong wall receptacle.
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove
the
third (ground)
prong from the power
cord.
Disconnect electrical supply cord from
wall receptacle before servicing cooktop.
8. Check Operation
Refer to the Use and Care Guide packaged with the
cooktop for operating instructions and for care and
cleaning of your cooktop.
Do not touch
the burners.
They may be hot enough
to
cause burns.
Install

This cooktop is equipped with sealed burners as
shown (see Figure 11).
