9. Using additional handsets

You can use up to five GAP compatible handsets with your
O1 base to extend your phone system without needing to
install extension sockets for each new phone.
Your O1 handset can be registered to up to 4 bases. You can
then select the base you would prefer to use.
You need to register any additional handsets you purchase
to your O1 base.
NOTE
Additional handsets must be fully charged before attempting
to register.

Registering a new O1 handset

At the base:

1. Press and hold
until you hear a beep, then release it.
The base will now remain in registration mode for 90
seconds, during which time you will need to complete
the following procedure.
At the new handset:

The handset is automatically allocated the next
available handset number which is displayed when in
standby mode.
NOTE
If registration is unsuccessful, the handset will return to
standby mode. Try moving closer to the base you want to
register to and following the registration procedure again.

Registering another type of handset
to your O1 base
At the base:
1. Press and hold
The base will now remain in registration mode for 90
seconds, during which time you will need to complete
the registration procedure shown in the other
manufacturer's user manual.
