Setting up the handset

The screen is protected with a transparent protection label: please remove
it.
2.
Open the battery compartment by pushing it downwards (Fig.1).
3.
Place the batteries with the polarity in the correct way (Fig.2).
4.
Close the cover by pushing it up until it clicks in (Abb.3).
5.
Place the handset on the base station to charge the batteries completely.
The charging indication appears. Leave the handset in the base for at least
three hours, to charge the batteries completely for the first time.
6.
The handset registers automatically to the base.

After setting up the handset, the icons "Antenna" and "Battery status" appear,
and the bottom line shows the handset number and the time. These will always
be visible when the handset is in stand-by:
The digit to the left is the handset number, which is assigned automatically to
the handset when it is registered. A maximum of 5 handsets, automatically
numbered from 1 to 5, can be registered to one base.
The digits to the right show the time. At the first setup, the time is 00:00h. The
setting is described below.
