The shoulder belt guides and backrest will move to the correct height and width automatically and simultaniously when adjusting the head rest. The iZi Up can be placed in the sleeping position, by a simple movement. Because of the optimally engineered belt guide system, full safety is guaranteed.

BeSafe advices that child seats should not be bought or sold second-hand. Many seats sold through local advertising have been found to be dangerous. It is recommended not to use the iZi Up on a passenger seat fitted with activated frontal airbag.

Installation in the the car The Besafe iZi Up can only be used with a 3-point-belt, approved to UN/ECE regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards. Make sure the belt is not twisted. The lap belt should be worn over the hips.

Adjust the iZi Up to the correct height (6 positions), by turning the height adjusting knob (11). Place the belt in the shoulder belt guide (8). Open the shoulder belt guide (8) by sliding the lower part outwards. Place the belt in the shoulder belt guide (8).

Make sure that the belt always runs from the retractor straight over the shoulder. The shoulder belt should level with your child’s shoulders. The lap belt should be positioned over the hips. Lock the belt in the buckle, click. Remove slack by pulling the belt toward the retractor.

Correct retractor position Make sure the belt is positioned in the green zone.
This can be done by the adult or by the child itself. The sleeping positioning handle (7) automatically returns to its neutral position. When your child gets out of the iZi Up, the seat will automatically return to the upright position.
Removing the iZi Up from the car An unoccupied iZi Up should still be fastened with the 3-point-belt. Make sure luggage or other objects are properly secured. Unlock the buckle of the 3-points-belt and open the shoulder belt guide (8).

After an accident After an accident, the iZi Up and your car seat belts should be replaced. Although they may look undamaged, if you were to have another accident, the iZi Up and your car seat belts may not be able to protect your child as well as they should.

Should this product prove faulty within 24 months of purchase due to materials or manufacturing fault, except covers, please return it to the original place of purchase.
Check frequently. DO NOT use anything, such as a cushion or coat, to raise the iZi Up off the passenger seat. In an accident the iZi Up and the car seatbelts will not be able to protect your child as well as they should.
