The rotating speed of the headstock is controlled
by the positioning of the belts on the pulleys. S S e e e e
F F i i g g u u r r e e 7 7 . . These are accessed by removing the
cover on the end of the headstock. Refer to the
chart at the end of this manual or the plate on the
headstock (F F i i g g u u r r e e 8 8 ) ) to determine which belt
combinations produce what speeds. The speed
settings available on this machine are 130, 300,
400, 600, 1000 and 2000 RPM.

This belt tensioning lever on the top of the head-
stock loosens the drive belt to enable the opera-
tor to change speeds. S S e e e e F F i i g g u u r r e e 9 9 . . The tension
release lever can also be used as a clutch while
the machine is in operation.
