FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
For each LNB you connect to the DiSEqC switch, the fol-
lowing configuration has to be performed.
As an example the following part will describe how the LNB in-
tended for Thor will be configured to input 1 (A) on the switch and
the LNB intended for Sirius to input 2 (B).
Switch type and port
Here you select the input for each LNB that will be connected.
In this specific example, input DiSEqC 2 will be selected first.
LNB type
Select "Universal" or the local oscillator (L. O.) frequency valid
for the connected LNB.
LNB Offset voltage
If the cable down from any of the LNB's is very long, it might be
necessary to increase the voltage to these LNB's by 0,5 V.
In most cases nothing has to be altered here. Leave the default
value "0 V" as it is. If the switch does not change between hori-
zontal and vertical polarization, the voltage to a LNB can be in-
creased later.
Increase the voltage:
a.
only if a LNB does not change polarization
b. only to the specific LNB mentioned in a. above
Satellite
In this example, select Sirius because its LNB is going to be con-
nected to the DiSEqC 2 input on the switch.
Predefined channel
Select one of the predefined channels and adjust the antenna as
described on page 13, "Antenna with one LNB for Sirius". Be-
fore you can continue, a TV picture from the predefined channel
must be visible in the background.
When you do have a picture and press OK to continue, you re-
ceive a confirmation on the TV screen that the configuration of
the DiSEqC 2 input is ready. You will also be asked if you want to
configure another DiSEqC input.
In this case also the input for the Thor satellite shall be config-
ured, so press OK. This means that the same procedure as for
Sirius have to be repeted. But this time select DiSEqC 1 from
"Switch type and port" and Thor as the satellite.
When the configuration of DiSEqC 1 is ready, press OK. A con-
firmation that also DiSEqC 1 is finished will show up. As no more
input is to be configured, now it is time to start searching for
channels from the Sirius and Thor satellites. The channel search
procedure is started by pressing the BACK button. Please refer
to the "Channel search" part on the next page.
