compartment by pressing the green catch with your

escaping, hold a plastic bag securely around the dust
compartment and empty contents into bag. Wait 30
seconds for dust to settle before removing and
sealing bag. Clean and dry the the compartment if
required.
• Remove any particles from the Cyclone cone and
replace filter holder ensuring it is properly inserted
and fastened.
• Replace the dust compartment (reposition front
first as shown in the diagram) until the locking catch
clicks to engage. Do not try to force shut.
Cleaning the filters
There are two lifetime filters in your Cyclone Power.
Should you ever need to replace them, use only
original Electrolux filters.

Cleaning of filter 1 when the filter
illuminates.
• Remove and empty the dust compartment as
detailed above.
• Remove the filter cassette from the filter holder.
• Pull the orange tag to remove the sponge filter from
cassette.
• Remove loose fibres and larger particles from the
filter.
• Hand wash the filter or place in washing machine
on a 40˚ C programme. Squeeze to remove excess
water and leave to air dry. The filter must not be
tumble-dried. Place the filter back into the filter
cassette and filter holder ensuring it is completely
dry. Replace the filter holder back into the Cleaner.
• To avoid damaging the cleaner, do not use it
without the filters in place. A safety device (orange
button) prevents the insertion of the dust compart-
ment if Filter 1 is not in place (Do not try to force
shut). If the light is still on, check for possible
blockages in the nozzle, tube or hose.

Troubleshooting

Power: If the cleaner does not start, disconnect from
mains, check plug, cable and fuses where
appropriate.
Blocked air flow and dirty filters: The cleaner
stops automatically if a blockage occurs in the
nozzle/tube/hose or if the filters or Cyclone cone are
blocked with dirt. Disconnect from mains and allow
the cleaner to cool for 20-30 minutes. Remove
blockage and/or clean the filters. Restart the cleaner.
The clearing of blocked hoses is not covered by the
guarantee. To avoid blockages and maintain suction
efficiency, the floor nozzles should be cleaned
regularly using the hose handle.
Water: If water is sucked into the cleaner the motor
must be changed at an Electrolux Service Centre.
This is not covered by the guarantee.
