Prior to using for the first time

Switching on the appliance
for the first time - setting
the language
The display is set to German as standard in the fac-
tory.

Important! If the display does not show the
menu for setting the language when the appli-
ance is switched on, the appliance has been
switched on before. If this happens, please
see the section "Setup/Language".
To switch on the appliance, turn the programme
knob to any programme, e. g. COTTONS EXTRA
DRY [BAUMWOLLE EXTRA TROCKEN].
The display lights up and should look like the illustra-
tion opposite.
In addition the display shows:
– „Ändern durch Taste OPTION"
– „Bestätigen durch Taste OK"
If you want to keep the language:
Press the OK button.
If you want to change the language:
1. Press the OPTION button repeatedly, until the de-
sired language appears in the display, e. g. ENG-
LISH.
2. Press the OK button.
In the display ENGLISH flashes several times and the
display should then look like e. g. the illustration op-
posite.
3. To switch the appliance off, turn the programme
knob to OFF (AUS).

If the wrong language is set by mistake, please
look at the "Setup/Language" section.

Setting the time

So that the time and the end of the programme are
correctly displayed, please check the time shown in
the display and set the current time if necessary. To
do this, please see the section "Setup/Clock".
