NOTE: The modem module spare part kit does not include an RJ-11 jack cable. The RJ-11 jack cable
is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 641830-001.
Description
Modem module
Before removing the modem module, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the modem module:
1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the modem module to the
system board.
2. Disconnect the modem module (2) from the system board by lifting it straight up.
3. Disconnect the RJ-11 jack cable (3) from the modem module.
4. Remove the modem module.
Reverse this procedure to install the modem module.
