2.3.6 Refractory Replacement

The intense heat of the fire will normally cause hairline cracks in the refractory. These cracks
can be minimized by proper curing as described in "First Fires". They will not normally
diminish the effectiveness of the refractory. If large cracks develop, then the refractory
should be replaced. To replace the refractory bricks, follow these steps:
1. Remove the andiron (A) held
in place by the two torx screws
(B)
2. Remove the brick retainers (C)
3. Remove the left side bricks (D)
4. Remove the right side bricks
(E)
5. Remove the rear bricks (F)
6. Remove the bottom brick (G)
To install the new bricks, follow the
above steps in reverse.
2.3.7 Glass Care – Replacement
The glass used in the WFP-75 is 5 mm thick of dimension: 13.65" x 25.30" and tested to
reach temperatures up to 1400º F. If the glass breaks, it must be replaced with one having
the same specification. Contact your HearthStone dealer to obtain a genuine replacement
part (see "replacement parts", in appendix to get the proper part number).
