Before emergency unlock-
ing, it is essential to immobi-
lise the vehicle by engaging
first gear (manual gearbox)
or position P (automatic gearbox). If
the slope requires it, chock the vehi-
cle. If immobilisation is not possible,
do not operate the lever and contact
a RENAULT Dealer.
Label B reminds you.
To release the parking brake: lift up the
luggage compartment carpet, remove
cover A, then pull handle 11 until you
hear the unlocking sound.
This control cannot be used to reap-
ply the parking brake.
Once the battery is replaced or the
system is repaired, it will be operational
from the first time it is released manu-
ally.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer.
After using handle 11, con-
sult your RENAULT Dealer
in order to replace cover A.
Never leave a child (or a
pet) in the vehicle with the RENAULT
card inside the vehicle. They could
release the parking brake and cause
the vehicle to move off unintention-
ally.
