CMOS Clear

CMOS Clear jumper block JP18 is a three-pin jumper block for restoring the CMOS settings to
the factory state. Descriptions for each JP18 jumper setting are provided in the following table.

CMOS Clear Jumper JP18 Settings

Jumper Pins
Description
1-2
Factory setting. Maintains system board configuration in
CMOS RAM with onboard battery.
2-3
To clear CMOS, turn off the system, remove the jumper
from pins 1-2, and place the jumper on pins 2-3. Wait 10
seconds. Replace the jumper on pins 1-2 and power on
the system.
To prevent damage to the system board, do not clear CMOS while
