temperature, room temperature,
number of door openings and other
use conditions.

When refrigerator has been
connected to water supply9move
the feelerarm to the ON (down)

Icemakingwill continueuntil the
feeler arm sensesa sufficient
accumulationof ice cubes in the
storagebin and halts the operation
temporarily.For maximum ice
storage,levelthe stored cubes with
your hand occasionally.Be sure
nothinginterfereswith the swingof
the feeler arm.
Theicemakerejectscubesin
groupsofeightandit is normalfor
severalcubesto bejoinedtogether.
Once
your
icemaker is in
operation, throw awaythe first
few batchesof ice cubes.
Thiswill
flushawayanyimpuritiesin the
waterline.Do the samethingafter
vacations or extended periodswhen
ice isn'tused.
caution:
Undercertainrare
circumstances, i ce cubesmay
be discolored, usud.lyappearing
witha green-bluish hue.The
causeofthisunusual d iscoloration
isapparendy d uetoacombination
of factorssuchas certain
characteristics o f localwaters,
householdplumbingandthe
accumulation of coppersaltsin
an inactivewatersupplyline
whichfeedsthe icemaker.
Continuedconsumption of such
discoloredicecubesmaybe
injuriousto health.If such
discoloration is observed,
discardtheice cubesand
contactyourGE Factory
ServiceCenteror an authorized
CustomerCare@ servicer.
Ice cubemold willautomatically
fiHwith waterafter coolingto
freezingtemperature,and first
cubeswill normallyfreezeafter
severalhours. Whencubesare
solidlyfrozen,theywiHbe ejected
from the mold intothe ice storage
bin by meansof a sweeperarm.
