The amount of the print jobs exceeded the amount of jobs you can save in
the hard disk.

This kind of phenomenon may occur depending on the printing
preferences or setting for SP.S-SIZE MODE2.
Set SP.S-SIZE MODE2 (See p. 5-72) in the USER MAIN. options in the SETUP
menu to 1 or 2, and then print again. However, the print quality may deteriorate
because the printer gives the priority to the printing speed.
The number of the printed sheets exceeds that which can be stapled.
Perform stapling within the number of the sheets which can be stapled (15
sheets).
The paper of the sizes or types on which cannot be stapled was used.
Use the following paper which can be stapled.
Paper size: A3, B4, A4, B5, Ledger (11 x 17), Letter, Executive, custom paper
sizes (When loading paper in portrait orientation: Width 10.12 to
11.69 in. (257.0 to 297.0 mm); Length 5.83 to 18.00 in. (148.0 to
457.2 mm); When loading paper in landscape orientation*: Width
10.12 to 11.69 in. (257.0 to 297.0 mm); Length 5.83 to 11.69 in.
(148.0 to 297.0 mm)
* Only when the UFR II printer driver is used
Paper type: Plain paper
The parts where stapling is performed have a breakdown.
Take either of the following measures.
1.
Setting STAPLE in LIMIT.FUNCTIONS in the USER MAIN. options in the SETUP
menu to LIMIT*
2.
Contacting your local authorized Canon dealer for servicing
* If LIMIT is specified, the normal printing process (stapling is not performed) is applied to even a job
which is specified to be stapled.
Do not remove the staple cartridge even if LIMIT is specified. If you print with the staple cartridge
removed, this may result in paper jams.
