In this example, 10 MINS has been selected, meaning the radio will exit any non-automat-
ed procedure after a period of 10 minutes of non-activity.
4-9 ATIS SETUP (EU only)
This submenu is used to adjust settings for the ATIS function.
• Press MENU and then select ATIS SETUP, press ENTER to enter the submenu.
You must enter your ATIS MMSI to access ATIS functionality if you are navigating inland
waterways within Europe.
ATIS sends a digital message any time that you release the PTT key. An ATIS MMSI always
starts with the number 9.
4-9-1 Enter or check your ATIS MMSI (ATIS MMSI)
You must enter your ATIS MMSI before you can access the ATIS functions. This is a once-
only operation.
You can display and read your ATIS MMSI at any time, but you get only one opportunity
to enter your ATIS MMSI.

Select ATIS SETUP then ATIS MMSI and press the ENTER. If an existing MMSI is stored,
the values appear.

If the MMSI is blank, a dashed line will appear, except for the initial number '9' . Then
enter ATIS MMSI along the dashed line. Press ENTER to confirm each entry and then
move to the next line.

If you make an error, press CH until < appears, then press the ENTER to backup and
correct the entry.
4.
When you have entered the last number of the MMSI, a confirmation screen appears.
The cursor is at STORE, press ENTER to store your ATIS MMSI.
5.
Enter your ATIS MMSI again as a password and check the confirmation screen
appears again, select STORE and press ENTER to permanently store your ATIS MMSI
and return to the menu.
