VPARREMOVE

Command:
vparremove -p vparidentstr [-f] [-N nparidentstr] [-Z parspecname]
IMPORTANT:
is optional when the command is invoked from the OS running on the nPar
Description:
Deletes a virtual partition previously created using the vparcreate command. All resources
associated with the virtual partition are made available for allocation to other partitions.
The options for the command:

-p vparidentstr
-f
-Z parspecname
-N nparidentstr
The -N option is mandatory when the command is invoked from the OA. It

The force option, this option is required and is used as
confirmation before resetting the virtual partition.
NOTE:
On Superdome 2, the force option is
mandatory.
Specifies the nPar to which the target vPar belongs. This
option is mandatory for a command invoked from OA.
If the command is invoked from the partition, it will reset
the vPar in that nPar. If the –N option is not specified.
nparidentstr can be specified as an nPar name or
nPar number.
Meaning
Specifies the target virtual partition. The vparidentstr
can be specified in ASCII format as a vPar number or
a vPar name, or in the format
nparidentstr:vparidentstr. When specified in
the format nparidentstr:vparidentstr,
nparidentstr and vparidentstr can either be a
name or number.
NOTE:
When executed from the OA, the vPar should
be identified using the format
nparidentstr:vparidentstr or used along with
the –n option.
The force option, this option is required and is used as
confirmation before removing the virtual partition.
Specifies the parspec of the nPar in which the vPar is
to be removed. When this option is specified all other
command options are applied to the specified parspec
and not to any partition.
NOTE:
The –n and –z options are mutually exclusive.
Specifies the nPar to which the target vPar belongs. This
option is mandatory for a command invoked from OA.
If the command is invoked from the partition, it will
