Important:
Do not mix SDR and DDR components in an ISR 9288 chassis.
The ISR 9288 enables high performance applications to run on distributed nodes, share common
storage and share network resources. This device has the following physical and operational
features:
A 14U chassis, designed for industry-standard racks.
288 ports, each providing 10 Gb/Sec of throughput.
A fully non-blocking interconnect with a latency of less than 420 nanoseconds.
Scalability by using multiple chassis to form clusters ranging from tens to thousands of
nodes.
Provides a modular building block for fat tree (Clos) topologies providing full bisectional
bandwidth for each port.
Multi-protocol connectivity in a single chassis:
— Server clusters
— Fiber Channel (FC)
— Storage Area Networks (SANs)
— NAS appliances
— Internet Protocol (IP) SANs
— TCP/IP Ethernet networks (LANs)
You can configure other InfiniBand-to-TCP/IP and InfiniBand-to-Fibre channel router blades
in any combination. Up to 132 router ports are supported in a single chassis.
The SR 9288 chassis supports the following modules:
Up to four redundant fabric boards, model sFB-12.
Up to 12 line boards, model sLB-24, each providing 24 ports of type 4X.
Two redundant management boards, model sMB, including a CPU Mezzanine.
