Myrinet Interconnect Rack Kit Installation
1 Audience
This guide is intended for HP service representatives and other persons trained
to install hardware mounting options and system components in the HP 10642
rack. Such persons are expected to understand the hazards of working in this
environment and of taking suitable precautions to minimize danger to themselves
and to others.

3 Verifying the Kit Contents

The kit contains the following components:
• A pair of rails that you mount on the columns of the rack.
• A pair of left and right retainer brackets that you mount on the Myrinet
chassis. These brackets slide onto the rails.
• The fasteners, as specified in Table 1.

30 in/lb Longer Phillips (Posidrive) pan-head.
screw Use with cage nuts.
Nut N/A Cage nut for rack column square holes. Use
with M6 x 16-mm machine screw.
30 in/lb Small pan-head screw used to attach the
screw retainer bracket to the interconnect chassis.
30 in/lb Shorter Phillips (Posidrive) pan-head used
screw to lock the retainer bracket to the rail.
