2. Dispensing ice or water
- To dispense ice, press the lever
slightly with the cup.
The cubed ice is in the shape of
half moons and the crushed ice
consists of fragments of the cubed
ice.
When you dispense ice, move the cup close
to the dispenser so that ice does not fall onto
the floor.
- To dispense water, also press the lever with the
cup slightly.
To dispense both water and ice, dispense ice
first and then dispense water.
• Do not dispense ice into a thin glass cup
or ceramic container.
CAUTION
This may result in the ice breaking the
glass or ceramic container.
• If discolored ice is dispensed, stop using
the product and contact the Samsung
Electronics service center.
Press the central part of the lever when
you dispense ice or water.
The lower part of the lever will not be
activated.
3. Dispenser tips
- Discard 6 cups of water before drinking any
water when using the product for the first time.
The water dispensed at first may have a plastic
smell.
- Even if the refrigerator is running continuously,
the water dispensed at first may not be cold.
If you dispense ice and then water, you can
make the water cold.
- You can dispense up to 6 cups of cold water at
once, and then dispense cold water again after
2~3 hours.
- After installing the refrigerator, ice is produced
after about 12 hours.
- The required time to generate ice may differ
depending on the number of times the door is
opened and the operating conditions.
- If you do not dispense ice frequently, the
ice may melt and stick together, and the ice
dispenser may not work properly.
In this case, remove any ice stuck in the ice
storage bin.
