Step 1.
Remove any media (disks, CDs, DVDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating
system, and turn off the computer and all attached devices.
Step 2.
Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
Step 3.
Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O)
cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to "Left and right view"
and "Rear view" for help with locating the various connectors.
Step 4.
Remove the rear cover. Refer to "Removing the rear cover".
Step 5.
Remove the computer stand. Refer to "Removing the computer stand".
Step 6.
Remove the optical drive. Refer to "Replacing the optical drive".
Step 7.
Remove the middle cover. Refer to "Removing the middle cover".
Step 8.
Remove the EMI cover. Refer to "Removing the EMI cover".
Step 9.
Remove the converter. Refer to "Replacing the converter".
Step 10. Remove the system fan. Refer to "Replacing the system fan".
Step 11. Remove the battery. Refer to "Replacing the battery".
Step 12. Remove the heat-sink. Refer to "Replacing the heat-sink".
Step 13. Remove the CPU. Refer to "Replacing the CPU".
Step 14. Remove the power supply. Refer to "Replacing the power supply".
Step 15. Remove the speaker system. Refer to "Replacing the speaker system".
Step 16. Remove the TV-Tuner card. Refer to "Replacing the TV-Tuner card".
Step 17. Remove the Wi-Fi card. Refer to "Replacing the Wi-Fi card".
Step 18. Remove the scalar board. Refer to "Replacing the scalar board".
Step 19. Remove the touch control board. Refer to "Replacing the touch control board".
Step 20. Remove the motherboard. Refer to "Replacing the motherboard".
Step 21. Disconnect the camera from the front bezel. Refer to "Replacing the camera".
Step 22. Detach the Wi-Fi antenna cable from the front bezel.
Step 23. Detach the Bluetooth module from the front bezel. Refer to "Replacing the Bluetooth module".
Step 24. Disconnect the converter cable from the connector on the LED panel.
