First make sure you have all of the following items:
Epson 340MB SCSI hard disk drive
n
Four retaining screws
n
The SCSI ribbon cable and LED cable that came with your SCSI
n
adapter card
The twist wire tie for fastening the cable.
n
If anything is missing or damaged, contact your dealer.
Before you install the SCSI hard disk drive in your computer, make
sure you perform the following procedures in the order listed here:
Install the SCSI adapter card. See your SCSI Adapter Card User's

Guide for instructions.
Check the jumper settings on the SCSI drive as described on page 4

of this manual.

After performing these procedures, you can install the SCSI hard disk
drive in your Epson computer; just follow the procedures described in
your computer User's Guide to install a disk drive. Also see your SCSI
Adapter Card User's Guide for details on installing an internal SCSI
device.
As you install the SCSI hard disk drive, refer to the illustration on the
following page to identify the different parts.
