Target Groups

This manual is written primarily for users with access to the entire range of the
ETERNUS LT20 S2 LTO library functions, for system administrators and field
engineering staff. Basic hardware knowledge is required.
1.2

Notational Conventions

The following notational conventions are used in this manual.
italics
Denote names of commands, system calls, functions, files, procedures,
programs etc. as well as menu options and input/output fields from
figures in the main body of text.
fixed-pitch font
Indicates system output, such as error messages, messages, notes, file
excerpts and program examples.
fixed-pitch semi-bold font
Denotes user input in examples.

Activities of the user.

Highlights additional information that should be noted to assist under-
standing of the surrounding text passages.
