11.0 General
11.1 Reset response
ATA has the following three types of resets:
Power On Reset (POR)
Hard Reset (Hardware Reset) The RESET- signal is negated in the ATA Bus. The device resets the interface
Soft Reset (Software Reset)
The actions of each reset are shown in the table below.

The device executes a series of electrical circuitry diagnostics, spins up the
