Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP)

The AGP is a high-performance interface for intensive
graphics programs, such as 3-D applications. Independent
of the PCI bus, the AGP is intended for exclusive use with
graphical display devices. The AGP features:
T
AC timing for 133-MHz data transfer rates, allowing
data throughput in excess of 500 MB/second
T
Pipelined memory read and write operations that hide
memory access latency
T
Demultiplexing of address and data on the bus for near
100 percent bus efficiency.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Support

Two external USB ports support USB-type peripheral
devices. System board supports standard universal host
controller interface (UHCI) with UHCI-compatible software
drivers.
T
Support for isochonous and asynchronous transfer types
T
Automatic mapping of function to driver and
configuration
T
Guaranteed bandwidth and low latencies appropriate for
telephony, audio and other applications
Supports wake-on-Ring, wake-on-LAN, and wake-
on-PME
256-byte battery-backed CMOS SRAM
Includes date alarm
System Specifications B-7
