INSTALLING AND CARING FOR FILTERS
3, To remove the charcoal (black fiber) filters, gently
bend back the metal
tabs on the back of the
grease filter and pull the
charcoal filter out. To
replace the charcoal
filters, atign the charcoal
filter over the grease
filter. Gently bend the
metal tabs on the back
of the grease filter ever
the charcoal filter.
NOTE: Use care in bending metal tabs so as
not to break them off.
The grease (aiuminum) fiiters shouid be removed ................
and cleaned often, at least once a month. The
charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be
replaced every 6 to 12 months, The replacement
schedule for the chareoal filter is intended mainly for
those who install the microwave hood combination
in Recirculation mode.
NOTE: Your microwave hood combination comes
with a charcoal (black fiber) filter installed behind
the aluminum grease filter. The charcoal filter helps
remove odors and provide clean recircutated air.
You may remove the charcoal filter if venting to the
outside.
You can order replacements (Part No. 4393690)
from your nearest Sears Service Center.
