Moving controller, I/O, or air management

IMPORTANT:
Modules must be reinstalled in the

disengage from the module (1) and rotate both
latches downward to disengage the module
from the internal connector (2).

Completing the process
1.
Reconnect data cables to the original cabling
configuration. As needed, connect cables:
Between cascaded drive enclosures.
Between the first and last drive enclosure and
the controller enclosure.
Between the controller enclosure and the host.
2.
Reconnect power cords to the devices.
3.
Turn on power and cooling module switches (if
present).
4.
Restart system devices in the following sequence,
allowing time for each device to complete its Power
On Self Tests (POST) before proceeding:
a.
Drive enclosures
b.
Controller enclosures
c.
Hosts
5.
Perform a rescan to force a fresh discovery of all
drive enclosures connected to the controller
enclosure. This step clears the internal SAS layout
information and reassigns enclosure IDs based on
the cabling sequence. This ensures that the
enclosures are numbered correctly.
To perform a rescan using the SMU, in the
Configuration View panel, right-click the system and
select Tools>Rescan Disk Channels. Then, click
Rescan.
