Listening to the radio

Press BAND/INPUT repeatedly
to select FM or AM band, then
press MENU.

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly until
"TUNING" flashes in the display,
then press ENTER.

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly until
"AUTO" flashes in the display,
then press MENU.

Press TUNE +/–.
Scanning stops automatically when a
station is tuned in and "TUNED" lights
up in the display. When a FM stereo
program is tuned in, "ST" lights up in
the display.
Note
If "TUNED" does not light up and scanning
does not stop, see "To tune in a station with
a weak signal" below.

Press VOLUME +/– to adjust the
volume.
To stop automatic scanning
Press ENTER.
To tune in a station with a weak
signal

Repeat steps 1 and 2 of "Listening
to the radio".

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly until
"MANUAL" flashes in the display,
then press MENU.

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly to tune
in the station you want.
To change the AM tuning interval
(Except for European model)
The factory setting for AM tuning interval
is 9 kHz (or 10 kHz for some areas).

Press BAND/INPUT repeatedly to
select AM band.

Press 1 to turn off the system.

Press and hold 1 and ENTER at
the same time.
The system turn on automatically.
"9K STEP" or "10K STEP" appears in
the display.
When you change the interval, all the AM
preset stations are erased.
Tip
To improve broadcast reception, adjust the
direction of the supplied antennas, or connect an
external antenna.
To reduce static noise on a weak FM
stereo station

Press MENU.

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly until
"FM MODE" flashes in the display,
then press ENTER.

Press TUNE +/– repeatedly until
"MONO" flashes in the display, then
press MENU.
There will be no stereo effect, but the
reception will improve.
