Removing CPU/IO Module
Follow the procedure below to remove the CPU/IO module.
1.
Stop the CPU/IO module you want to remove.
To this end, use the ftServer Utility of the NEC ESMPRO Agent installed to your server or
the Data Viewer of the NEC ESMPRO Manager.
For the detailed procedure, see "NEC ESMPRO Agent and Manager" - "Maintenance of
NEC Express5800/320Fc series" in Chapter 5.
NEC ESMPRO Manager
Select [ft] - [CPU Module] - [CPU Module (to be
removed)] - [Maintenance] - [Bring Up/Bring Down]
- [Bring Down].
Repeat the operation mentioned above for the IO module (PCI module) and confirm that the
status of the CPU/IO module and the IO module (PCI module) are "Removed."
TIPS:
When removing CPU/IO modules 0, select [Bring Down] for CPU module (ID:0) and PCI
module (ID:10)

Remove the front bezel
ftServer Utility
Select [FTServer] - [CPU Module] - [CPU Module (to
be removed)] - [Bring Up/Bring Down] - [Down].
