8 Installing the NEC ESMPRO Agent
NOTE:
When the setting of the firewall is effective, port (161/UDP) that SNMP
uses is blocked.
In this case, because NEC ESMPRO Agent cannot communicate with
NEC ESMPRO Manager, the server cannot be monitored from NEC
ESMPRO Manager.
Please open the port according to the following procedures.
Windows XP / Server 2003 (Service Pack installed)
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-
click Windows Firewall.
2. In the Windows Firewall dialog box, click the Add Port on
Exceptions tab.
In the Add a Port dialog box, set the values as follows, and then
click OK.
