Adjusting the record level

You can adjust the reference record level for
recordings from the internal CD changer or
external source. This feature can be used for
fading your recordings in or out.

Press CD1•2•3.
For additional appliance, press AUX repeatedly
to select : "AUX DIGITAL", "AUX ANALOG H"
or "AUX ANALOG L".

Start playback the disc or external source.

Press REC LEVEL to activate volume control
for record level adjustment.

Adjust the MASTER VOLUME to select the
desired record level. The loudest sounds in the
material to be recorded should not reach the
red levels of the level bar.
The actual record level (in dB) is displayed.
Note:
– If the record level is too low, recording will not be
possible. It is advisable to adjust to normal
listening level.

Preparation for recording

Load in an unfinalised CDR(W) in the CD
recorder tray.
The CDR(W) used for recording should be
absolutely free of scratches and dust particles in
the CD recorder tray.

Prepare the source to be recorded.
CD 1•2•3 – load the disc(s). To start from a
specific track, make a programme.
TUNER – tune to the desired radio station.
AUX – connect additional appliance.
When a recording is in progress
The arrow light and
shown. The actual recording time left starts to
count down.
During high speed recording, COPY CD or
COMPILE CD, the sound will be muted.
It is not possible to listen to another source.
It is not possible to activate the timer function.
To exit recording mode
Press NO or Ç.

Internal recording

Recording from internal CD changer or
tuner.

Recording a single track

Play your desired track on the CD changer.
Press RECORD.
"REC TRX?" is displayed, "X" denotes the
disc tray number.
Press YES.
Playback and recording start from the
beginning of the selected track.
FINALISE the recorded CDR(W) before use
for playback.

Recording an entire disc

Press CD1•2•3 to select the disc you wish to
copy.
If a programme is available, it will temporarily be
ignored until recording ends.
Press COPY CD.
The arrow starts flashing and
"RECORD CDX?" is displayed.
Press YES.
The recording starts in high speed mode and
finalises automatically after completing.
