IMPORTANT: IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE INSTALLATION OF
THIS SYSTEM MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
The sensor light must be grounded.
o
Do not mount the lighting head against any flammable surfaces.
o
The motion detector will not operate correctly if it is installed:
o
•
Near the outlet of a central heating boiler
•
Near air conditioning.
•
Pointing directly at moving vehicles
•
Within sight of reflection from moving water
•
Where other lamps could shine onto the detector
NOTE: This highly responsive unit may occasionally activate due to rapid environmental
changes. Allow for approximately 30 seconds warm-up time before the sensor resumes normal
activity.
INSTALLATION AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
Installation to a junction box using crossbar mount
1.
Attach the crossbar to the junction box and tighten with existing screws (C).
2.
Attach the mounting plate and weather gasket to the crossbars using the supplied screws
(D). This crossbar will move to fit all standard electrical boxes.
3.
Once connected. Pull the existing wires through the mounting plate.
4.
Mount the mounting plate to the electrical box. Make sure the wires are exposed and not
touching each other
5.
Get help to hold the sensor light in place and start to connect the wiring.
6.
Connect the GREEN or ground wire first. This should be connected to the green or bare
wire at the connector box. If there is no ground wire in the connector box, connect this
wire to the green ground screw in the crossbar. This will only be true ground if the
existing electrical box is constructed from metal.
7.
Connect the BLACK wire (live wire) from the AC electrical box to the single black wire
coming from Sensor Tracking Light using one of the supplied wire nuts.
8.
Connect the WHITE wire from the AC electrical box to the white wire coming from Sensor
Tracking Light using one of the supplied wire nuts.
9.
Tape and secure all electrical connections
10.
Attach the sensor light to the installed bracket with screw "A". ( see diagram below)
