Locate Function

The D-160 can immediately locate to any desired point .
That is, it can move the current time or function position of the recorder.
Available locate points are: memory data points (time or bar/beat/clock) stored in
the Memory keys (CLIPBOARD IN/OUT, AUTO PUNCH IN/OUT, AUTO RTN START/
END, and LOCATE keys), the beginning of a Program (ABS 0), and the end of a
recording (ABS END).
The D-160 is also equipped with an Auto function, which operates as an extended
Locate function, including Auto Play, Auto Return, and Auto Repeat functions.

1. Storing memory data

There are three methods by which you can store memory data: by grabbing a
desired time value in real-time when the recorder is playing back or stopped, by
editing and storing a desired data, by recalling previously-stored memory data,
changing it, and storing it.
These methods can also be used in the Auto Return function, Auto Punch In/Out
function, and the edit operations, such as Copy & Paste, Move & Paste, and Erase.
Try to become familiar with the methods described here.
