The characters available depend on
the language selected in the
language menu, see

In addition to the characters, you
may be able to use the character bar
for the following:
• To set the character prediction

Tips for writing text

The following functions may also be
available for writing text:
• To delete a character to the left
of the cursor, press Clear. Press
and hold Clear
characters more quickly.
To delete all the characters at
once when writing a message,
press Options
text.
• To set the character selector to
move to the first character of the
character bar if you rotate the
spinner to the right at the end of
the bar (or if you rotate to the left
to the last character at the start
of the bar), press Options, and
select Looping
• To change the input language to
a language other than that
selected in Language settings
(see page 31), press Options, and
select Writing language
