2. Getting started

■ Installing the SIM card

Keep all SIM cards and the SIM
release tool out of the reach of small
children. For availability and
information on using SIM card
services, contact your SIM card
vendor. This may be the service
provider, network operator, or other
vendor.
To open the SIM drawer, use the SIM
release tool provided with the phone
or use a paper-clip with a maximum
diameter of 0.9 mm. To release the
SIM drawer, stick the tool or paper-
clip into the release hole as shown
(1). Insert the SIM card into its
holder so that the golden contacts
on the card are facing downwards.
Insert the SIM drawer (2).

■ Charging the battery

Warning: Use only
batteries, chargers, and
enhancements approved by
Nokia for use with this
particular model. The use of
any other types may
invalidate any approval or
warranty, and may be
dangerous.
This device has an internal, non-
removable, rechargeable battery. Do
not attempt to remove the battery
from the device as you may damage
the device. Nokia recommends
taking it to the nearest authorised
service facility for replacement of
the battery.
Check the model number of any
charger before use with this device.
This device is intended for use when
supplied with power from AC-1,
ACP-7, ACP-8, ACP-12, LCH-8,
LCH-9 or LCH-12 chargers.

charger to the socket on the
bottom of your phone.
