Changing The Door Hinging - Miele KWT 4974 SG ed Operating And Installation Instruction

The appliance is supplied right hand
hinged. If left hand door hinging is
required, follow the instructions below.

We recommend that the
changing of the door hinging is
carried out by a qualified kitchen
fitter.
It is essential that the procedure is
carried out by two people. The glass
door is very heavy and could break.
Changing over the door:
In the following illustration the door
is not shown in the closed position to
make it easier to see what happens
next.
^ Close the appliance door.
^ If necessary unlock the door.
^ Unscrew screw a out of lower hinge
bracket b.

Changing the door hinging

Caution.
The door is very heavy.
^ Raise the door, open it outwards and
remove it carefully.
^ Remove cover d. Unscrew lower
hinge bracket c and refit lower hinge
bracket b on the opposite side. Refit
cover d on the opposite side.
On the underside of the appliance
door:
^ Remove door opening limiter e and
refit it on the opposite side.
^ Remove cover cap f and pull hinge
pin g and bearing bush h out from
underneath the other side of the
door.
^ First refit bearing bush h and then
hinge pin g on the opposite side.
Please note the shape of the notch in
the bearing bush (insert x).
^ Now turn hinge pin g 90 ° until it is
securely positioned in bearing bush
h.
^ Remove cover i from the top of the
appliance and unscrew hinge
bracket j.
^ Insert hinge pin k in the second hole
of hinge bracket j.
^ Refit brackets l and m as well as
cover n turned through 180° on the
opposite side.
^ Screw hinge bracket j into the
opposite side.
^ Turn cover i through 180°, and fit it
on the other side.
