TO ENGAGE AUGER
1. Toengagetheauger and start throwingsnow,squeezetheauger
controlagainstthe left handle.Releaseto stop the augers.
REPLACING SHEAR PINS
Theaugersare securedto the spiralshaftwith shearpinsand bow-tie
cotterpins. If the auger shouldstrikea foreignobject or icejam, the
snowthroweris designedso that the pins mayshear.If theaugerswill
notturn, checkto seeif the pins havesheared. See Figure17.
NOTE:Twoextra shearpinsare suppliedin the manualbag.
NEVERreplacetheauger shearpinswith anythingotherthanOEM
Part No.738-04155replacement s hearpins. Anydamageto the
I augergearboxor othercomponents as,a resultof failingto do so will
[ NOTbe coveredby yoursnowthrowers warranty.
Alwaysturnoff the snowthrower'sengineand removethe key prior to
replacingshearpins.
