THROTTLE/CHOKE CONTROL
Thethrottle/choke controlis locatedon the LHconsoleto
theleft of theoperator'sseat.Whenset in a givenposition,a
uniformenginespeedwill be maintained.
Pushthe throttle/choke controlhandleforwardto increase
theenginespeed.The ridingmowerisdesignedto operate
withthe throttle/choke controlin the FAST _
position
whenthe ridingmoweris beingdrivenandthe mowerdeck
is engaged.
Pull the throttle/choke control handlerearwardto decrease
theengine speed.
Whenstartingthe engine,push thecontrol handlefully
forwardintothe CHOKEI'_,1position.
After startingand warmingtheengine,movethe controlhandle
rearwarduntilyoufeel it movepast thechoke detent.
PARKING BRAKE ENGAGEMENT
LEVER
The parkingbrakeengagementleveris locatedon the front/
left of the seat boxframe,and is usedto engagethe parking
brake.
Pull the leverfully upwardand tothe left;then lowerintothe
short "J"slot to engagethe brake.
Pull the leverup out of the"J" slot and to the right; then lower
completelyto disengagethe parkingbrake.
NOTE: If the LH and RH drivecontrolleversare not fully
openedoutto eachsidein the neutralpositionwhenengag-
ing the parkingbrake,the enginewill stop.The parkingbrake
mustbe placedin the engagedpositionwhenstartingthe
riding mowerengine.

DEATH. A llowonlythose who havebecomecompetentin its
usageto operatethis ridingmower.
Beforestartingthe engineor beginningoperation,be familiarwith
the controls.Theoperatorshouldbe in the operator'sseat.The
PTOswitchmustbe in the disengagedposition,the parkingbrake
engaged,and the RHand LHdrivecontrol leversmovedfully
outwardin the neutralposition.
Keepall shieldsin place. Keepawayfrom movingparts.
NORIDERS!Keepall peopleand pets a safedistanceaway.
Lookbehindand downto bothsides of the ridingmowerbefore
and while backingup.
DONOTdirect the mowerdischargeat people.
Avoidslopeswherepossible.Neveroperateon slopesgreater
than 15 °. Slopeswith a greaterinclinepresentdangerousoperat-
ing conditions.Ridingmowerscan be rolledover.
Beforeleavingthe operator'sseat:Shutoff the PTO,move
the RHand LHdrivecontrol leversfully outwardin the neutral
position,engagethe parkingbrake_:_, shutoff the engineand
removethe ignitionkey.Waitfor all movement t o stopbefore
servicingor cleaning.
Operatethe drivecontrol leverssmoothlyand avoidanysudden
movementsof the leverswhenstartingand stopping.Keepa firm
grip on the controllevers.
Be carefulwhenoperatingnear roadways. S topthe riding mower
motionand wait for vehiclesto pass beforeoperatingalong the
road.
Donot operatethe riding mowerwith the mowerdeck removed.
Removal o f the deck willchangethe balanceof the riding mower,
and couldcontributeto a riding mowerrollover.
Avoidoperationon tractionsurfacesthat are unstable;use
extremecaution if the surfaceis slippery.
Slowdown beforeturningand come to a completestop before
any zeroturn maneuver.
Donot stop the ridingmoweror parkthe riding mowerover
combustiblematerialssuchas dry grass,leaves,debris, etc.
Donot fill the fueltank whenthe engineis runningor whilethe
engine is hot. Allowtheengine severalminutesto cool before
refueling. T ightenthe fuel cap securely.
