Always empty the grass bag 3/4 in (20 mm) before it becomes filled to the limit of its capacity. Bagging 1-1/4 in (32 mm) 2 in (46 mm) performance will diminish after the bag becomes about 90% filled.

    Shift Lever To ensure easy restarting and maximum performance from the Auto SHIFT Choke System™, allow the engine to run for at least three minutes Use the shift lever to select the LEVER after starting a cold engine before shutting down.     Spark Plug Spark Arrester (optional part) Replace the spark plug every 2 years or after 150 hours of use. The spark arrester must be serviced every 100 hours to keep it functioning as designed.     Charging the Battery TRANSPORTING The lawn mower engine has an internal charging system. Under normal mowing usage it is not necessary to charge or maintain the battery. If the engine has been running, allow it to cool before loading the mower on the transport vehicle.

    Cleaning Handlebar Remove the grass bag if installed. You can place it on top of the Mower Deck engine with the bag opening to the front. Before washing the underside of the mower deck, stop the engine and turn the fuel valve to the OFF position. Rest the mower on its right side so that the fuel cap side is up.
