1. Source Code.
The " source code" for a work means the preferred form ofthe work for m aking modifications toit."Object code" means any
non-source
form ofawork.
A"Standard Interface" means an interface that either isan official standard defined by arecognized standards body, or, i nthe
case ofinterfaces specified for a particular programming language, one t hat iswidely used among developers working inthat
language.
The " System Libraries" ofan executable work include anything, other than t he work as awhole, that (a)is i ncluded inthe
normal form ofpackaging aMajor Component, but which isnot part ofthat Major Component, and ( b) s erves only t oenable
use o fthe work with t hat Major Component, or toimplement aStandard Interface for w hich animplementation isavailable to
the public insource code form. A"Major Component", inthis context, means amajor essential component (kernel, window
system, and s o on) o fthe specific operating system (ifany) on which the executable work runs, or acompiler used toproduce
the work, or an object code interpreter used torun it.
The " Corresponding Source" for a work inobject code form means all t he source code needed togenerate, install, and (for an
executable work) run the object code and t omodify the w ork, including scripts tocontrol those activities. However, itdoes not
include the work's System Libraries, or general-purpose tools or generally available free p rograms which are used unmodified
inperforming those activities but which are not part ofthe work. For example, Corresponding Source includes interface
definition files associated with s ource files f or t he work, and t he source code for s hared libraries and d ynamically linked
subprograms that the work isspecifically designed torequire, such as by intimate data c ommunication or control flow between
those subprograms and other parts ofthe work.
The C orresponding Source need not i nclude anything that users can regenerate automatically from other parts ofthe
Corresponding Source.
The C orresponding Source for a work insource code form isthat same work.
2. Basic Permissions.
