Fuse
Replacement
The fuse is located next to the spark plug under the
rear frame. Fuses seldom fail without a reason. If the
fuse blows, the source problem must be corrected or
the new fuse will blow again.
Check for loose connections in the fuse holder and
replace holder if necessary. A dead short may be in the
cranking or charging circuit where insulation may have
rubbed through and exposed the bare wire. Replace the
wire or repair with electrician's tape if the wire strands
have not been damaged. Also look for a wire pinched
between body panels, burned by the exhaust pipe or
muffler, or rubbed against a moving part.
•
Stop the rider mower and engage the parking
brake. Remove the ignition key.
•
Pivot the seat frame up. Disconnect the spark
plug wire and ground it.
